Pandemic Surge in Florida, Missouri, Texas May Frustrate Hopes of Industrial Rebound:

Major industries across the U.S. are facing a renewed threat from the COVID-19 pandemic, as the more easily transmissible Delta variant has rapidly reversed the pandemic-era lows in hospitalizations and deaths recorded earlier this summer. Just three states–Florida, Missouri and Texas–account for about 40% of all new cases, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and companies in those and many other states may have to make difficult decisions as to which, if any, employee restrictions to revisit.

Industrial Info is tracking more than $62 billion worth of active projects within Florida, Missouri and Texas that already have seen their schedules impacted directly by the COVID-19 pandemic, including more than $11 billion worth that are under construction.
